Mr. Rodríguez has over twenty years of experience in financial services, including private equity, investment banking, and investment consulting. He has advised private equity, energy, real estate, and distribution companies in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, the Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico.
Prior to joining FCP, he worked at Advent-Morro Equity Partners sourcing and executing private equity transactions and at UBS where he was involved in bank recapitalizations, debt underwriting and hotel development finance. Previously, he worked at Smith Barney, giving investment advice to institutional clients with an aggregate portfolio value of $2.5 billion.
Mr. Rodríguez is a licensed investment advisor representative (series 65) and a Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA). He is a member of V. Suárez Group's Investment Committee and previously served on the Board of Directors of INSPIRA Group.

Mr. Rodríguez has nearly a decade of experience in food and beverage marketing.
Prior to joining FCP Ventures, Álvaro worked as a brand manager in V. Suárez & Co. Inc., a leading distributor in Puerto Rico. During his time there, he acquired extensive experience in developing and executing localized strategies for world-renowned brands from large multinational companies. He also successfully introduced several alcoholic beverage brands to the Puerto Rico market, developing their launch strategy, and guiding them towards the top of the market in their respective categories. During his time at V. Suárez, Álvaro was responsible for the P&L’s of several brands, overall accounting for over $20Mn in annual revenues.
